Dubai-based IT consulting outfit QME Software is using this year’s GITEX Technology Week as a platform to launch Version 10 of the Toad productivity software for database development and administration, as well as announcing the latest stage of the firm’s expansion plans.

Dubai-based IT consulting outfit QME Software is using this year’s GITEX Technology Week as a platform to launch Version 10 of the Toad productivity software for database development and administration, as well as announcing the latest stage of the firm’s expansion plans.

“With regard to Toad 10, we have a number of different offers for visitors to our stand. “They can win either a reduced or waived licence fee,” says Jose Bustamante, General Manager.

QME Software is also launching the new www.toad.ae website, a new online community and forum that provides access for all Toad users in the Middle East, and allows them to share their experiences, tips and tricks.

Via the company’s exclusive partnership with Quest Software in the Middle East, QME Software is using its connections with a range of platform vendors such as Microsoft, virtualisation specialist  VMware and database giant Oracle to try and discover new ways of improving their clients’ native management capabilities.

“I’m also very excited to announce that in the next couple of months, we’ll be opening our first office in Saudi Arabia,” adds Bustamante. “We’ve been working towards this for 18 months, and it will be a great market for us. In addition, we’ll be opening an office in Qatar in 2010, and maybe a location in Bahrain.”

Bustamante says GITEX offers a strong opportunity to engage with different partners: “We’ve been very good at acquiring companies that have put us in a strong postion, and when it comes to partnerships with Microsoft, we can say we are a leader.”

Dear Quest Customer,
In today’s uncertain economy, organizations are watching their expenses and being extremely cautious about their investments.

Here at Quest Software, we too are continuing to watch our expenses. And like other organizations, we want to be assured that when we make an investment in our infrastructure, we’re doing so with a company that is healthy and here to stay.

In turn, we want to assure our customers that Quest is strong and stable, and we’re here for the long run. Here is a look at Quest’s financial health, which you may find helpful in your decision to continue to invest in our products:

  • Quest has experienced steady, consecutive growth for 10+ years
  • We’re one of the few software companies to grow during the last downturn (’01-’02)
  • Quest realized $735 million in 2008 revenues – a 16.5% growth over 2007
  • We ended 2008 with nearly $260 million in cash on hand – an important indicator in Quest’s ability to meet short-term obligations, fund investment and finance ongoing operations
  • Our operating margins are healthy (over 18% in 2008)
  • Our worldwide renewal rate for all Quest products was 83% in 2008 – reinforcing that our customers are confident in our products and our support
  • More than 100,000 customers worldwide use Quest products

In addition to our financial health, it’s important for you to remember that Quest’s products deliver the cost-efficiency, productivity, value and ROI that your company also needs in this tough economic climate. Our products can help you manage your IT operations efficiently, as well as save time and money.

And finally, we offer world-class support for all our products. Recent customer surveys indicate that 97% of our customers told us they were satisfied with their Quest support engineer, and 92% were satisfied with their support experience overall.

If you have any further questions about Quest’s stability as your software vendor, or about our product and support services, I invite you to contact your Quest sales representative.

Sincerely,

Doug Garn
